ClimEmpower

Tools, data and knowledge for climate resilience in vulnerable regions

Project website

ClimEmpower

The European ClimEmpower project aims to empower five Southern European regions particularly vulnerable to climate change: Andalusia (Spain), Osijek-Baranja County (Croatia), Troodos Mountain Range (Cyprus), Central Greece (Greece) and Sicily (Italy).

To this end, Regional Communities of Practice (CoP) will be created during the development of this project. The aim of these is to be spaces where all stakeholders can collaborate and co-create resilient development strategies adapted to the needs of each region.

In the case of Andalusia, a region hard hit by the consequences of climate change, work will be carried out with the CoPs on the selection of climate resilience indicators and the development of risk maps for droughts, forest fires and heat waves, and rain and coastal flooding models.
