Computer Vision techniques for sewage treatment plants.
The iON Plant project arose from the need to increase the technological level of operation of wastewater treatment plants in order to achieve greater operational efficiency.
To this end, smart cameras were installed at key points in the plants during 2020, allowing operations staff to monitor the status of these critical areas completely remotely.
In addition, the cameras were equipped with computer vision algorithms that allow certain problematic events in the operation to be detected automatically so that rapid action can be taken if necessary. This capability is particularly beneficial for small facilities where operator presence is minimal.
