HOOP

Hub platform to promote investment in the reuse of organic municipal waste and municipal wastewater.
The HOOP project is a hub platform to promote investments in the reuse of organic municipal waste and municipal wastewater.

It provides a platform to support the development of circular economy projects to a group of 8 cities and city clusters across Europe, representing different city sizes and socio-economic circumstances.

The aim is to create the technical, economic and legal knowledge needed to develop and promote investments for the reuse of the organic fraction of municipal waste (FORSU) and sewage sludge in order to obtain high added value bioproducts.

Its aim is to accompany the group of cities in the implementation of solutions for the reuse of FORSU and sewage sludge, to develop a new circular economy business model adapted to each city and to define the necessary financing mechanisms for the implementation of the investments.

HOOP is a collaborative project under the European Horizon 2020 (H2020) programme.
