HH EMASESA

Calculation and support for the management of virtual water and the water footprint of the integral water cycle in the greater Seville area.

Cetaqua Galicia has extensive experience in performing virtual water and water footprint calculations for companies tasked with managing the integral water cycle under a sustainable approach.

In 2020, we worked on the calculation and support for the management of the virtual water and water footprint of the integral water cycle of the Seville Metropolitan Region managed by EMASESA.

The project studied all the activities and processes associated with the cycle, from the provision of the resource to the return of the treated wastewater to the environment.
The calculation followed the principles, requirements and guidelines of the methodologies included in the main standards, norms and reporting systems in the field, such as the one proposed by the Water Footprint Network (WFN) and the one defined in ISO 14046 for 2018 and 2019.

Duration: July 2020 - April 2021
Coordinator: Cetaqua Galicia
