DENMASS

A simple and innovative technology that leads to major improvements in operation, effluent quality and the environment.

DENMASS

The DENMASS project seeks to achieve sustainable development in water treatment plants through the installation of InDense, a simple but effective technology that has a profound impact on effluent quality, operation, and the environment.

It allows the sludge to be compacted within the biological reactor through gravimetric separation with cyclones, resulting in more effective removal of nitrogen, phosphorus and carbon in the water. This means the Palencia wastewater treatment plant is the first biofactory in Europe to promote zero waste and to improve the quality of its effluents, with the possibility of using the treated water to irrigate parks and gardens.
