Digitizing efficient fertigation management for sustainable agriculture
The LIFE TRIPLET project aims to implement a digital tool for sustainable management of irrigated agriculture and crop monitoring.
This tool is the result of combining four existing tools (provided by partners UPTC, IMIDA, Aquatec, and FMC) that will provide information to farmers and irrigation communities about irrigation and fertigation needs, as well as disease risk. Trials are being conducted on crops in the Region of Murcia, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, and the Valencian Community.
CETAQUA collaborates on water quality models, as well as the calculation of the Water Footprint and the estimation of the Natural and Social Capital of the tool.
This European initiative aims to revolutionize the approach to agriculture by combining digital technology, precise data collection, and science-based decision-making to contribute to more sustainable and efficient agriculture.
