B-WaterSmart

Accelerating water intelligence on Europe’s coast through Living Labs.

B-WaterSmart

The B- WATER SMART project aims to optimise the reuse of water in Alicante and promote circular economy strategies. To this end, a Living Lab will be set up, an innovation space open to the administration and end users, where they can create and experiment together to address the challenges between the different territorial stakeholders.

We will develop a digital tool for the management of water resources that focuses on reclaimed water and allows us to promote reuse in the region. The project will work on developing solutions to transform the wastewater treatment plant into a biofactory.

B-WATER SMART is a collaborative project within the European Horizon 2020 (H2020) programme that includes 5 other Living Labs in Europe: Norway, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Portugal.

Duration: September 2020 - August 2024
